There are no requirements for prior knowledge.

• New as a union representative

• The union’s history, structure, and statutes

• Organizational knowledge

• Laws and agreements

• The collective agreement system: main agreement, collective agreements, and local agreements

Learning Objectives

The main goal of the course is for participants to gain an understanding of:

• What it means to be a union representative

• The responsibilities of a union representative

• How to use the main agreement and collective agreements as tools

• Rights and obligations

The course is conducted as a one-day course, and lunch will be provided.

Funding

The course is free of charge for members whose application is approved by the union.

Loss of Earnings

Apply to your employer for paid leave. For those who do not receive compensation from their employer, a grant may be provided according to the OU Fund rates upon documented loss of earnings.

Travel Expenses

Covered according to the OU Fund rates.

Required documentation must be submitted to LO Kurs & Konferanse within one week after the course has ended.
